AFI KLM E&M has inked a contract with SriLankan Airlines covering A340 and A330 component support. The contract involves closed-loop repairs for six A330’s and six A340’s. SriLankan is a new customer for the MRO provider.

AFI KLM E&M says "it is offering a wide range of ambitious repair solutions to this first-time client, illustrating its determination to continuously expand its market share on such products, notably in Asia."

The MRO operator has operational centres in Paris CDG and in Singapore. "By pressing forward with its ambition to operate as near as possible to its clients, AFI KLM E&M is demonstrating its long-term commitment to Asia and Pacific regions," says the company.

“Our dual airline/MRO profile reassured SriLankan Airlines. In addition, we were able to provide SriLankan with both very competitive prices and a level of quality that several A330 and A340 operators have already been observing and regularly point out” said AFI KLM E&M Commercial SVP, Fabrice Defrance, during the signing ceremony held in Colombo.

“We made our selection decision as AFI KLM E&M, a major  MRO and a world leader in A330 / A340 components support, proposed services and conditions which were quite compliant with our expectations,” confirmed Priyantha Rose, Head of Engineering of SriLankan Airlines.

The SriLankan Airlines’ fleet currently comprises six A320s, six A330s, six A340s and two de Havilland Twin Otters.
