Sichuan Airlines has leased an additional Airbus A330-300 from Intrepid Aviation. The aircraft, which will be delivered in the 4th Quarter of 2014, will be the third A330 Intrepid will be leasing to the Chinese carrier.

The aircraft will be powered by Rolls Royce Trent 700 engines. “We are delighted to further expanding our business relationship with Sichuan Airlines and further develop the Chinese market for us”, said Volker Fabian, Intrepid’s chief commercial officer. \

“In 2012, we have been able to place more new A330 aircraft on lease in China than any other lessor globally. It proves the desirability of the Airbus A330 as a product as well as our appreciation of the importance of the Chinese market.”

Sichuan Airlines agreed a deal to take two Airbus A330-300s from Intrepid Aviation earlier this year under " long-term leases", becoming a new Intrepid customer in the process.
