9 Air opts for Boeing 737

Juneyao Airlines LCC start up 9 Air has committed to buying 50 Boeing 737s, including Next-Generation 737s and 737 MAXs. The LCC, to be based in Guangzhou, plans to launch services later this year.
“We are honoured to welcome 9 Air as Boeing’s newest customer,” said Ihssane Mounir, vice president of sales and marketing for Northeast Asia, Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
The new entrant’s name is derived from the carrier’s proposed lead-in far of RMB9, following the removal of fare restrictions as part of China’s liberalisation efforts.
