Skyways Technics opens KL facility

Skyways Technics has opened a new regional office and warehouse in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to support ATR & CRJ operators in the Asia-Pacific region.

Skyways Technics is a Danish-based MRO operator and spare part provider (spun off from Cimber Air, the European launch operator for the ATR almost 30 years ago). The new operations will be known as Skyways Technics Asia.

The company says: “Skyways Technics A/S, one of the most experienced ATR maintenance organizations in Europe, is constantly focusing on customer needs and is - following the increasing demand from ATR customers in Asia and Pacific - proud to be able to serve the operators in the region with the high level of service operators deserve.

Skyways Technics Asia says it will focus on providing 24/7/365 spare part support, repair handling and AOG support to all ATR & CRJ operators in the APAC region.

Skyways Technics Asia will initially allocate an extensive spare parts pool airside at Subang Aiport. Moving forward, this investment will be increased and adjusted according to the customer needs.

Chief executive officer, Benjamin Nielsen said: “Throughout the last 12 months, the demand for the services and support we offer has increased dramatically in the Asian Pacific region. To continue this trend and provide current and future customers even higher level of service, local presence is a must”.
