The travel and tourism industries directly contributed more than USD 66.4 billion to Africa's economy in 2017. Routes Africa provides the most convenient platform for decision makers to negotiate new air services, discuss existing routes and improving the continent's air connectivity. By uniting the region’s aviation community, Routes Africa provides an effective platform for key decision makers to update their industry knowledge, discuss potential and existing air services, and network with industry influencers.

This year, the event will take place in Ghana’s capital, Accra. With a number of impressive infrastructure projects on the horizon, Ghana’s aviation sector is at the forefront of the country’s fast-growing economy, meaning that Ghana’s capital city and commercial centre is ideally placed as the destination for Routes Africa 2018.

Over the course of the event, 250 delegates will take part in over 600 face-to-face meetings to present their business cases and discuss their route development plans.

The event will include a conference programme which will bring together top-level speakers from across the sphere of aviation to discuss the most pressing issues facing the industry, such as the Single African Air Transport Market and passenger growth forecasts.

Routes Africa 2018 will also provide a comprehensive route development accreditation for delegates which will be led by ASM, Routes’ sister company and the world’s leading route development consultancy. The session will provide the necessary tools and techniques for presenting to airlines and approaching a route development strategy.

The Routes Africa hospitality programme is designed to maximise networking opportunities, facilitating the growth of new business relationships with key industry targets. The Welcome Reception and Networking Evening will take place in two of Ghana’s finest hotels, providing spectacular settings for networking.
